Monday is a First Alert Weather Day due to a threat of severe storms, according to the FOX19 NOW Weather Team.Some may be strong to severe with strong wind gusts, heavy rain and hail as the primary threats.

Some areas could receive 4-6″ of rain this week or even more in some isolated locations. In northwest Middle Tennessee and southern Kentucky 6-8″+ are possible.

The last round of strong storms and heavy downpours arrives Saturday night and into Sunday morning. The potential for spotty damaging winds and an isolated tornado cannot be ruled out. Flash flooding will also remain a risk, especially with the previous rain leaving the ground very saturated.
