The Philadelphia Phillies announced Saturday that they placed first baseman Bryce Harper on the 10-day injured list.

The Philadelphia Phillies have lost their last three games and seven of their last eight games. To add salt to the wound, the Phillies just received some bad news concerning their MVP first baseman. According to a press release sent by the team,

Bryce Harper was placed on the 10-day IL Saturday morning, retroactive to Friday, June 6th, with right wrist inflammation. Harper previously missed five games after being hit in his right elbow, and after returning for three in Toronto, he again sat out for the opening game in Pittsburgh.
