EAST LANSING — A $3 million memorial to foster healing could honor MIchigan State University students killed, threatened and forever affected by a Feb. 13, 2023, mass shooting on campus.

Board of Trustees met Friday to approve a measure to memorialize the victims of the university's 2023 mass shooting.

The Michigan State University Board of Trustees on Friday approved the final design for a memorial honoring the victims of the 2023 campus shooting.

The memorial is expected to cost $3.2 million and will be located in MSU's Old Horticulture Gardens on the east side of campus.
