Ukraine’s Air Force deployed French Mirage 2000 jets to intercept Russian cruise missiles in a large overnight attack, marking their first confirmed combat use.

The military published photos taken by a Ukrainian pilot that show the jets in action intercepting the missiles. Earlier, France 24 reported that Ukraine used the French-supplied Mirage-2000 jets for the first time to repel a large-scale missile and drone Russian attack.

The first of the French fighter jets arrived in Ukraine in early February, eight months after French President Emmanuel Macron announced the delivery. France has also stepped up by providing Kyiv with intelligence it needs to counter the Russian attacks after the U.S. stopped sharing intel with Ukraine.
