A game that should have been called after five innings was allowed to proceed, ultimately costing the Diamondbacks the game.

Almost a full day prior to Encarnacion-Strand achieving the club's first walk-off win of 2025, the teams played several innings in steady rain that appeared to increase in intensity as the Friday night portion of the contest wore on. The Reds trailed 3-0 but climbed back to tie the game in the sixth. That's when the tarp was rolled onto the field.
