HOUSTON – Draymond Green came up short in his bid to win a second Defensive Player of the Year award when results were announced on Thursday afternoon after the Warriors’ Game 2 loss to Houston.

The NBA announced that Evan Mobley has won the 2024-25 Defensive Player of the Year award. He was one of three finalists, along with Dyson Daniels and Draymond Green. That was a point of contention among the Oklahoma City Thunder.
