WWE fans were disappointed when "Saturday Night's Main Event" abruptly went off the air during Goldberg's retirement speech.

Goldberg expressed his anger and disappointment with how his retirement match played out at WWE Saturday Night's Main Event.

The latest Saturday Night’s Main Event special on NBC ended with GUNTHER defeating Goldberg to retain the world heavyweight championship after a surprisingly solid match. Because they were on NBC without an overrun available to them, the latter’s retirement speech was cut short on the main broadcast.

Once Saturday Night's Main Event was off the air, Gunther offered his candid assessment of Goldberg's career in the ring. The world heavyweight champion was a guest on WWE's SNME recap show with Sam Roberts and Megan Morant and had the final word on his rivalry with the Hall of Famer.
