The death toll from a major overnight Russian missile and drone attack on Kiev has risen to 16, Ukrainian authorities said on Thursday. Among the dead were two children and a police officer, President Volodymyr Zelensky said on X.

The number of people killed in a massive Russian attack on Kiev a day earlier has risen to 28, after further bodies were recovered from under rubble, authorities said on Friday. Authorities had put the death toll from the overnight strikes at 16 on Thursday evening,
