The Westland man accused of shooting a Saginaw woman last year inside the Olive Garden in Midland has been sentenced.

A man convicted of shooting a woman inside the Midland Olive Garden has been sentenced to decades behind bars.

Robert Monit of Westland was convicted on 11 counts stemming from the June 2024 incident, including assault with intent to murder.

On March 27, Robert Monit was convicted on 10 felony counts in Midland County Circuit Court in connection with the shooting of Melissa Guerra at the Olive Garden.
