The New Jersey Department of Transportation says the I-80 repairs due to the sinkholes are taking longer than expected. The two westbound lanes are now expected to be opened by the end of May.

Work to reopen two lanes on I-80 westbound in Wharton is taking longer than anticipated, the Department of Transportation said on Friday.

The Route 80 Business Assistance Grant Program just opened, and already, hundreds of applications have been submitted.
