The Indian stock market is in a downturn, with the Nifty 50 experiencing its longest losing streak in 29 years. As of March 3, it fell over 16% from its peak, leading to significant losses in market capitalization for investors.

AM, the S&P BSE Sensex had fallen 388.70 points to 72,809.40, while the NSE Nifty50 was down 111.50 points to 22,013.30.

Sensex stood at 73,593.26, up 395.16 points or 0.54 per cent. Nifty was trading at 22,243.85, up 119.15 points or 0.54 per cent. In Asia, most markets were trading higher, with the Nikkei at 1.4 per cent climbing the most.
