Annexed militarized zones will soon cover nearly one-third of the U.S. border with Mexico, empowering soldiers to arrest people who cross the border illegally.

A South Texas congressman on Wednesday told Border Report that more military zones could be established on the South Texas border. And military Stryker vehicles and soldiers are heading to Laredo.

The new military zone is located in Cameron and Hidalgo Counties in Texas and will be transferred from land overseen by the International Boundary and Water Commission, an entity that settles treaty issues between the U.
