The New England Patriots continued to build out their offense around franchise quarterback Drake Maye by selecting Ohio State running back TreVeyon Henderson with the No. 38 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft just two picks after his Buckeye teammate Quinshon Judkins came off the board to the Cleveland Browns.

The Patriots haven't drafted a running back this high since taking Georgia's Sony Michel with the No. 31 overall pick in 2018. They also haven't taken a running back at all since 2022, when the Pats selected South Dakota State's Pierre Strong and South Carolina's Kevin Harris in Rounds 4 and 6, respectively.

With the No. 38 overall pick early in the second round, New England drafted running back TreVeyon Henderson. A standout at Ohio State, Henderson has been lauded for his leadership and fits the mold Mike Vrabel is looking to forge. He’s one of the hardest-hitting blocking backs in the draft.
