NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — A shooting was reported in the parking lot of a Walmart on Nolensville Pike on Wednesday. Metro Nashville Police (MNPD) told FOX 17 News that an off-duty officer working as a security guard at the Walmart confronted a man suspected of shoplifting.

Decatur police officers shot and killed a man suspected of shoplifting Tuesday night, the department said. The officers responded to a call about shoplifting at a Walmart on U.S. Highway 81 at 9:40 p.m, and saw a 46-year-old suspect running from the store, police chief Delvon Campbell said.
