There was a momentary criticism of him along those lines, during his primary campaign (if I recall correctly). Does Obama self-identify as black? Why, yes, I think he does! All of these points need to be reinforced with the underlying social issue at play here: RACISM. Obama is black because (ultimately) the US is still racist.
