Near Denver and Colorado Springs, the world's highest cog train takes families to the 14,110 foot summit of America's Mountain, Pikes Peak, Colorado.

Your train ride takes you 9 miles up to the summit of Pikes Peak but your journey transports you back in time. Enter Pike National Forest, travel along Ruxton Creek, by Diamond Rock, within the steep, rocky walls of Englemann Canyon, past stacked boulder formations, a striking waterfall, and through Deer Park.

A journey on the Cog Railway is full of scenic beauty all year round. While the weather and breathtaking views are varied depending on the season, you’ll always be able to find an updated schedule with available departure dates and times when exploring our Purchase Tickets page!

The ride to the top of the Pikes Peak Visitor Center is a little over one hour, and once we arrive, we spend 40 minutes on the Summit before we depart. In the summer, we operate daily, with departures every 40 minutes.

Parking at the Cog is $20 and located across the street from our Depot. Parking at the Railway is limited and only available 30 minutes before your departure. Buses, RV’s and trailers are not permitted to park at the depot.
