A number of fires are burning across Oregon and on Thursday the Oregon Department of Forestry and Oregon State University released a draft version of new wildfire hazard maps. On the Oregon Wildfire Risk Explorer website, people can enter their address to see whether their property is in a low, moderate or high hazard area. The goals are to let people know if they live in an area with high wildfire danger, help prioritize resources for vulnerable locations and identify where defensible space and
